Hi - my name is Phoebe - and I was born November 27th, 1998. I am a petite 13 pound pure bred Pug. I have all my vaccinations, I was heart worm tested and it was negative. My Mom has me on preventative now so I won't get them. I am spayed and I have had my dental. I don't have too many teeth left, but it doesn't slow down my eating one bit. Mom says now I am all ready for my new home.

I am a really sweet girl, I like the other dogs and cats here, though I frighten easily. I never slept in a bed before, and am finding that to my liking. I use a potty pad, but will go out the doggie door if it's nice out.

On the 17th of November, 2008, my right eye was surgically removed because of glaucoma. I will have to have my left eye monitored every 3 months - I have drops in my eye every day to keep glaucoma from starting in my left eye.

I'm still the sweet, loveable girl I was before. I have a really quirky personality, and I am fine with children as young as 12. I am learning to walk on leash and I relly enjoy it.

Muffin came to rescue when her family made a move out of state. Unfortunately, Muffin, and her good friend, Taz, could not go along. Muffin is a little 12 pound, red dachshund. She has been spayed for many years, is current on all of her vaccinations, is house and crate trained. She is just as sweet as she can be.

She gets along with all the other dogs in rescue, as well as the two cats. She is in need of a dental and heart worm check, which will be done shortly. She sleeps in her crate at night, and will often go in there to just hang out and nap. She loves to be held and snuggled. Muffin pays very close attention when you talk to her.

If dachshunds are your breed, please consider Muffin.

Taz

Taz is a little 5.5 pound red Pomeranian. He found himself in need of a new home, when the family decided to move out of state, and he and Muffin could not go along. The family indicated that he is about six and one half years old. Taz is house trained, but has been known to do some marking. He is newly neutered, so this issue should resolve in time. Taz is current on all his vaccinations, he will have a dental and heart worm check shortly. He will then be ready for his new home. The marking was most likely due to a massive number of stones. Taz had emergency surgery on July 19th, and is now on the road to recovery. His dental was put on hold until he is physically able to stand the rigors of another surgery.

Taz gets along fine with all the dogs, and really likes the cats. He loves to be carried around, held on your lap and loved. He is crate trained, and sleeps there with his little friend, Muffin.
